oh how I love school. It is like a "Surprise Generator", never fails to turn my life upside-down-bottom-left-right within 2 hours. First was SAPM, now CAC. How exciting a student life can be... with project guidelines so useful it acts better as a coaster, with lecturers so helpful that we're more confused after consultation. How cool is that!
Problems cropped up one after another. Well, this is inevitable in projects and life. I look forward to that. I was supposed to leave at 3 and meet ah ma at 4; left at close to 4 instead. Lucky day, 27 didn't take a long time to come, and within 20 mins, I arrived at Changi Airport.
Changi Airport
Fantastic. Now, where's the viewing gallery? yes, I'm definitely a Singaporean, been to the viewing galleries here n there. But I have a poor memory (everyone who knows me knows that;) and proud to say, a GOOD sense of direction. So I sniffed my way there because ah ma told me to get up the escalator once I see a BIG perfume and cosmetics store. So Big is that store. I really doubt her.
Jankin is migrating to Australia today. In fact, he is somewhere in the skies now. Previously, he said he was checking in at 5, that explains why I'm meeting ah ma at 4. So at 445pm, he told ah ma he was still waiting for cab at his house. okay lo. At 6++ we went to T1 to meet him after his family dinner. gulps. and there he was with his relatives taking phtographs and all, because they wont be coming back here for a long time. Aiyo.. . Then we made a very interesting discovery. it's as if Bangalore's day today, and that the airport was so crowded with them and their luggage. I must say they are good packers/sealers. They can seal the whole package with masking tape. uh uh. not very environmental friendly, definitely. But who dares to stop them? Anyone who attempts may risk himself turning into a Masking-taped Mummy.
After sending him off, Lincoln, Ah ma, me went for dinner together. There is a staff canteen that ordinary folks like us can patronise I heard? But we didnt make it there, or it'd have been an eye-opening experience.. (pilots... air stewards.... eh cheeky la!;) So we settled down at the Ramen specialist (how yucky.. i hate ramen, share the awful stuff with ah ma lo.. hehe), and Simao served us. That's a really special name. haha. Then over dinner, Lincoln was the only one chattering all the way/continuosly/non-stop/neverending/endlessly about his 'pathetic' army life, the 'blackie his lucky star'. luckily for his non stop chatterings though.. it's especially interesting about the gays part. gee.
After dinner, ah ma and me went back to Starbucks T2, happy to find that our favourite hotspot was not taken. (heng ah) So there, we spent the time doing our own work; I was all the time very angry and drafting the email to Tan Si Cheong. Spoiler. Or I'd have spent my time doing something more useful in that beautiful ambience.
There, we also came up with a plan to visit Australia for our grad trip. We'll start with a nearer place, Europe has to wait. Great, everything can be in place as long as we have the monies. 3 sources of funds: Investment (look at SAPM haiyo..), Savings (with inflation so high?), Work. Looks like work is the only feasible solution to our problem. So, after graduation, I shall take up any jobs I want, TEMP of course-- Zoo Keeper, Waitress at ARTOHOLIC, a street performer (I don't have any talent)....... anything but dull and boring. hee.
Starbucks is a really cool place. It gves one the kind of personal space and time, that is so precious. But we had the last bus to catch, so we left at around 1135. It is an hour journey back to Hougang, and the time for the last feeder bus is 1230am. ugh. So when 27 arrived at Hougang Interchange, it was dead nobody there, just a security guard. I stupidly went to the 325 berth and thought I couldnt be more suay. Then the security guard approached me and ask what I was doing.. So he spoke the truth that I most didnt want to hear... "Hey girl, the last bus just left. No more bus already." Then he gave me the directions to walk to my house. (as if i dunno...) 4 bus stops... walking under the moon.. how romantic, just me and the moon.
Okie, personal space to myself I console my pathetic soul. It'll be the first time in my 18 yrs to walk back home 4 bus stops away at such hours...! I shall absorb the esssence of the moon and be a stronger person.. to walk on strong. (No calling for aid from base camp. Cold war! Pride! Simply Sucks!) Eh so dark lo.. I hate the polyclinic walk.. it was so damn dark with the trees casting weird shadows on the pavements, blocking out the lights.. Eeerie. But I am a brave girl. Actually this is called, Forced under circumstances. So I walked on and on and on.. then one bus stop before my house, I suddenly hear the engine sounds behind me. 325! woah! The driver was so nice.. I didnt flag the bus but he read my thoughts. Thanks! though it was just one stop. So when I alighted, I walked to the front and waved him goodbye with a whole lot of gratitude weighing in me. Thanks for making my day/night!
