Bukit Timah Hill

It was 9 am as we embarked on our hiking trip-- up the tallest... hill, in Singapore!

Rou and I had talked about it several times, and this time, we finally brought the words to action. Marvellous!

That was my maiden hike up Bukit Timah Hill. I couldn't recall who I went there with but it was definitely my first trip that I made it to the top, the Summit.

On the way up, we saw alot of precious 'LingZhi', interesting plants, Rou's spring water and not forgetting of course--- the beautiful people ;)

While we were at the Summit, we sought a sweaty ang-moh's help in our photo taking. His hands were like broken tap, dripping away. For a while I thought it may be dangerous for him to get in contact with an electronic.

But thanks to him, that's our only 'couple' photo we took, and here it is-----

And look how powerful adidas is

Perfecto!

Then a while later, 2 guys approached Rou to take a picture for them. (They actually wanted to take with her but they ended up fighting instead. Oh how disastrous! Best friends turn foes overnight because of a woman! Bananas flying everywhere. So we quickly made our way down and ducking from the killer bananas along the way...) That was what they would do if they were monkeys;) So we made our descent after a while and Rou was already love sick. She was smitten with that Hwa Chong guy and kept speaking up for him. Fate has it all planned. While we were stopping to study the shorea tree, the guys made their way down, the same route! Now now, monkey rou began to get excited and kept jumping about. I just don't understand. Can he be compared to the curly hair caucasian guy who crossed our paths while we were going down? No way man. haa. So for the sake of Rou, we were behind the boys and an uncle, making our way down together as a group. Well, the way down can be rather scary you see, so it'd better you walk behind a group so that in case your shoes lost friction or you suddenly need to tie shoelace, lost balance and rolled, no worries b'cos there will be someone to catch you or cushion your roll down the hill.

It is just a little teeny weeny hiking trip to begin with. Not much to overcome or challenges to speak of. But I am a very timid person, especially fearful of heights and creepy spiders or butterflies in that circumstance. In everyday life, I even find walking down the overhead bridge disturbing. So every trembling step I took, I focus 100% on the route. There were many people who crossed my path, yet I just carried on walking with my own rhythm.

My steps became lighter as I followed the rhythm in my mind. I guess that's what I should do to walk my life. Not dwelling on how others think, but stay focused and walk on with the objective in mind.
